Are you interested in learning how to communicate science, tell stories and create films? We are looking for scientists, artists and filmmakers to apply to participate in our 3-day hackathon in which you can beautifully communicate science to the public through film.
Applications are now open for our event in Lausanne! The 3-day event will take place at the University of Lausanne from the 30th of November to the 2nd of December. The event is funded by the SNSF, Nikon and various institutions around Switzerland.
In teams of four, participants meet for the first time, decide upon a piece of science, write a script and finish the film in under three days. They are aided by science communication, storytelling and filmmaking seminars as well as expert mentors from around Europe. At the end of the final day the films are celebrated in a private viewing for all the people involved in the long weekend.
The following week the films are screened in an evening of science cinema at Cinema Cityclub Pully (5th December). During the evening participants present their film and engage the public with science. To learn more about the event and watch films from previous years, go to www.exposurehackathon.com
Participation is limited to 40 places and participants will be chosen on their application. The event is free to attend and all food is provided over the three days.

Best wishes and we look forward to your application!
