If so, you should join our upcoming Biotech Chat dedicated to “Editorial and Publishing Careers” an event organized by the BioScience Network Lausanne (BSNL).

BSNL Biotech Chat are career and networking events where experts and peers can exchange their ideas and experiences in an informal setting.
During this Biotech Chat, you will have the opportunity to listen to the talks and network with two outstanding speakers:
- Mirjam Curno, PhD, Publishing Director at Frontiers (Lausanne)
Mirjam Curno obtained her PhD at the University of Dundee (UK) in 2006 in the field of molecular oncology. After two postdoctoral positions in Edinburgh and Lausanne, she transitioned to the Journal of the International AIDS Society as a Managing Editor. She then joined Frontiers first as a Journal Manager, then as Editorial Office Manager and Editorial Director and is now Publishing Director at Frontiers.
- Pooja Jha, PhD, Associate Editor at Nature Metabolism (Berlin)
Pooja Jha obtained her PhD in 2014 at the Medical University of Graz (Austria) in the field of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. She then joined the laboratory of Johan Auwerx at EPFL in Lausanne as a postdoctoral fellow where she applied systems genetics and OMICS approaches to study mitochondrial supercomplex biology, metabolic diseases, exercise biology and aging. Pooja joined Nature Metabolism in 2018.
The event will take place on Monday, July 8th, 2019 from 18:00 to 20:00 in auditorium Jequier Doge at CHUV (PMU)- see map below.
Each Biotech Chat is followed by an apéro to give you a chance to discuss and network with the speakers and the participants.
