On October 7, BSNL BioScience Network Lausanne, in collaboration with PharmaCamp and SOPHiA GENETICS, brought together 35 talented Master’s and PhD students from UNIL, EPFL, UNIGE, and the University of Bern for an inspiring afternoon at SOPHiA GENETICS’ headquarters in Rolle.
Students experienced firsthand how data and AI are transforming precision medicine through:

🔹 A behind-the-scenes tour of the NGS lab with Adrian Willig
🔹 A live demo of the SOPHiA DDM™ Platform led by Tania Miguel Trabajo
🔹 A fun quiz challenge — with winners earning lunch with Dr. Zhenyu Xu, Chief Scientific Officer
The event wrapped up with a networking apéro, where students connected with SOPHiANs across departments — exchanging ideas, career experiences, and inspiration.
